That’ll Be The Day: A Tribute To Buddy Holly And The Crickets
Buddy was a true music pioneer. Being highly influenced by Elvis Presley after seeing him perform in 1955, Buddy began to incorporate a rockabilly sound with a strong down stroke rhythm guitar and unique hiccup-like vocals. Todd Meredith and the Rave-Ons will take you on a musical journey starting with Buddy’s early recordings at Decca Records in Nashville, through his breakout hits with Norvajack Studios in Clovis, New Mexico, and ending with the story of his ill-fated final tour and his death in Iowa. Audience members will enjoy humorous banter between the songs as well as receive an enjoyable history lesson about this legendary singer and monumentally influential group.
