Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation.
Sat, Mar-29 – ROME ARRIVAL
After landing at Rome Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities. Your tour director will welcome you to Italy and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Next, set off on an orientation tour to see highlights of the Eternal City of Rome, where both glorious success and shameful defeat have left visible traces throughout. Transfer to your hotel, check in and enjoy some time at leisure to settle into your room. This evening, join your group for a welcome dinner at a popular roman restaurant, a great introduction to the exciting Roman Dolce Vita.
OVERNIGHT: HOTEL GENOVA, ROME
Sun, Mar-30 – ROME SIGHTSEEING
Today, set off to discover Imperial Rome by viewing the Arch of Constantine, one of three surviving ancient Roman triumphal arches In Rome. Next, visit The Circus Maximus, the first and largest ancient Roman stadium. Then, continue on to visit the Roman Forum, which is often considered the center of Ancient Roman life. It was here, that religion, commerce, judicial cases and politics would often unfold. After, visit the nearby Colosseum, Rome’s most recognized monument, where fit gladiators often fought In action packed shows and early Christians were sometimes martyred. The Colosseum had the ability to hold up to 50,000 spectators and is considered to be one of the great architectural achievements of Ancient Rome. Head back to your hotel and enjoy the balance or the day at leisure to relax or sightsee independently. In the evening, you might like to sample the fine local cuisine by dining at a nearby venue.

Mon, Mar-31 – VATICAN MUSEUM & SISTINE CHAPEL
This morning, tour the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, where out of respect for its sacredness, the Vatican has requested silence during your visit. While here, you will see magnificent sculptures, Maps Gallery and the Hall of Tapestries, The tour ends in the Sistine Chapel, where you can view Michelangelo’s Creation and the famous Last Judgement. Next, visit the massive St. Peter’s Basilica, which is the largest church in Christendom and can hold up to 60,000 people, Tradition maintains that Saint Peter’s tomb is below the altar. After, visit the famous Spanish Steps, considered to be the widest and longest staircase in Europe, before viewing the awe-inspiring Trevi Fountain. Tradition maintains, that if you throw a throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain, it means that someday you will return to Rome. Then, continue on to view the impressive Church of Saint Ignatius and the stunning Church of Saint Luigi dei Francesi. Return to your hotel, where you may like to freshen up before meeting your group for a wonderful farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
