DESCRIPTION:By popular request we have chartered the “City of Los Angeles” and “City of San Francisco” dining cars not only for the wonderful experience of elegant dining aboard one of the most famous railroad dining cars outside the Orient Express\, but also for the enjoyment of the colors of fall which should be at peak for our experience. \nWe have designed an afternoon  to bring both young and old back into the era of luxury transportation provided by THE BOONE SCENIC VALLEY RAILROAD. \nWe will board the “CITY OF LOS ANGELES”and “CITY OF SAN FRACISCO” DINER CARS and enjoy a lunch menu consisting of your choice of   \n\nMain Entree\n\nSmashburger\nPulled pork sandwich\nPesto chicken sandwich\nMacaroni and cheese\n\n\nSides\n\nColeslaw\nFries\n\n\nDessert\n\nBrownie and ice cream\n\n\nBeverages\n\nWater\, soda\, lemonade\, iced tea\, coffee\n\n\n\nAs we enjoy our lunch we will travel through rolling hills\, cross the Bass Creek high bridge and along the river to the bottom of the Des Moines river valley.  You will experience over two hours of absolutely gorgeous scenery. \nWhat a wonderful and romantic way to celebrate the essence of Fall.  Enroute to and from Boone aboard our luxury motor coach refreshments will be served.    \nGet your SWEETHEART\, I’m bringing mine\, Relatives\, Kids and Friends to join you on this nostalgic and beautiful railway extravaganza.  The more the merrier.  \n  \nItinerary:\n8:30 AM –  Depart Sam’s Club on Blairs Ferry Rd. behind Burger King.\nAdditional pick ups available en route.\n11:00 AM – Arrive at Boone Iowa train station\n11:30 – 11:45 AM – Board private dining cars\, reserved for our group’s enjoyment.\n12:00 PM – Depart Boone Station and enjoy lunch and a Colors of Fall picturesque train ride through some of the most scenic countryside in this country.\n2:15 PM – Arrive at Boone Iowa Train Station.
