Your CIE Tours driver/guide will welcome you to Ireland and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Set off with a local guide who will show you around the prominent historic buildings and monuments of Dublin. Dublin is an ancient settlement\, founded by the Vikings in the 9th century. The city has been molded through the centuries with many Architectural styles\, reflecting the economic\, political and artistic influences. Stop to visit the Guinness Storehouse to see exhibits on how this world famous stout was first created and why it is so popular today. See the State Apartments\, where many state functions are held in the richly decorated chambers. Next\, visit Christ Church Cathedral which is Dublin’s oldest building\, founded in 1038 by King Sitric\, later rebuilt in 1169 by Strongbow\, and restored in Gothic style in 1871. The crypt dates from 1172 and both cathedral and crypt contain remarkable monuments and sculptures. The balance of the day is free for individual pursuits and dining.\nDinner & Overnight: Camden Court Hotel\, Dublin\n  \n \nSat\, August 12 – House of Waterford Crystal & Blarney Castle\nToday\, see a variety of scenery as you depart Dublin. Drive through rich farming areas and bustling towns of the central part of Ireland. Continue to Waterford\, home of the renowned hand-cut crystal. Upon arrival tour the House of Waterford Crystal to learn about glass blowing\, cutting and see one-of- a-kind masterpieces. Continue southwest through Dungarvan and Youghal to Blarney\, only a few miles from Cork city. Here\, you can climb to the battlements of Blarney Castle to acquire the “gift of eloquence” by kissing the famous stone. Also visit the Blarney Woolen Mills\, which has an excellent range of Irish products of all types. Then journey west through rugged countryside to Killarney\, A town widely celebrated for its setting overlooking lakes and mountains. after checking into your hotel\, you may like to browse around this busy little town.\nOvernight: Killarney Towers Hotel\, Killarney\n \nSun\, August 13 – Dingle Peninsula Tour & Gallarus Oratory\nDepart Killarney and drive via Killorglin and out along the Dingle Peninsula. Journey along the scenic road which winds along portions of the shoreline and through hilly country. enjoy spectacular views of mountains and coast\, with new vistas opening up at every turn in the road. You can also see the Iveragh Peninsula to the south. Stop in the town of Dingle before driving to the very tip of the peninsula to view the primitive stone “beehive” Huts of the early monks and the Gallarus Oratory\, built in the 6th century of unmortared stone and watertight after 14 centuries. Return to Killarney\, where you will have some time to freshen up before tonight’s festivities. in the evening\, join your fellow travelers for a traditional Irish dinner at the award winning\, Jarvey’s Rest\, where live Irish entertainment creates a warm atmosphere.\nOvernight: Killarney Towers Hotel\, Killarney\n  \n \nMon\, August 14 – Cliffs of Moher & Bunratty\nLeave Killarney and travel via Tralee and Listowel to Tarbert where you take the ferry across the wide mouth of the River Shannon. Drive via Lahinch to view the Cliffs of Moher. The impressive wall of rock rises to a height of almost 700 feet above the churning Atlantic Ocean and stretches for five miles along the coast. See part of the Burren Country\, a region of limestone hills containing a wealth of rare flowers and prehistoric stone monuments on the way to Bunratty. Upon arrival visit the Bunratty Folk Park\, which comprises a collection of farmhouses from different regions of Ireland.\nAlso see a 19th century village street with a pub\, school\, general store and many other buildings where traditional lifestyles and crafts are demonstrated. Then check into your hotel and enjoy some time to relax and settle in before a festive evening. this evening join in the fun and feasting at Bunratty Castle.
