The Creation Museum Noah’s Ark Museum & Theme Parks

August 13, 2018 @ 8:00 am - August 16, 2018 @ 4:00 pm

$531 – $725

August 14 – The Creation MuseumBe prepared to experience history in a completely unprecedented way. The state-of-the-art 75,000 square foot museum brings the pages of the Bible to life, casting its characters and animals in dynamic form and placing them in familiar settings. Adam and Eve live in the Garden of Eden. Children play and dinosaurs roam near Eden’s Rivers. The serpent coils cunningly in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Majestic murals, great masterpieces brimming with pulsating colors and details, provide a backdrop for many of the settings.
The area within the museum has been divided into unusually configured spaces that allow for personal interaction with each of the 160 exhibits. Several parts of the museum, including the stunning forty foot high portico with its cliff wall and floor to ceiling glass windows, flaunt open spaces and remarkable designs. Walk through the Garden of Eden. See the scaffolding, smell the freshly cut timbers in the busy work site of Noah’s Ark. Dig up dinosaur bones.

Facing the Allosaurus
We are pleased to announce the addition of a world-class dinosaur skeleton, an Allosaurus fragilis, to the array of exceptional exhibits at the Creation Museum. Recently donated to the museum, this specimen is believed to have one of the six or seven best-preserved Allosaurus skulls ever discovered.

Dragon Legends
Regale yourself with delightful artwork and other beautiful adornments as you stroll beneath extraordinary Chinese dragons. Learn about famous encounters with these incredible beasts from China, Africa, Europe, the Americas, Australia, and the Middle East. Discover what ancient historians have written about these creatures, and examine armaments that may have been used by valiant dragon-slayers.

Dr. Crawley’s Insectorium
They’re creepy and crawly, and they’re on display at the Creation Museum. Some insects are big, such as one that weighs almost half a pound, and many are long, like our branch-like stick insects. If you’re wondering, there really is a Dr. Crawley who generously donated his world-class insect collection to the Creation Museum. He wants museum guests to discover the fascinating design our Creator has built into bugs.

Museum of the Bible Special Exhibit
Museum of the Bible presents “Acts of Worship: Objects of Ritual,” a six-month exhibit exploring the three major cultural demographics within the Jewish faith. See beautiful artifacts that were used as implements of prayer, grievance, celebration, and remembrance.

The Main Hall
From your first steps into the Creation Museum, it is clear this will be a remarkable experience! Be amazed by the animatronic dinosaurs and children, the waterfall, the towering trees, large aquarium, and live animal exhibits.

Homology
Dr. David Menton, biologist, talks about the similarities (known as homology) in the skeletons of vertebrates. While the biology is similar in many ways, the differences between man and any of the animals are obvious. Most importantly, God created man in His image and with the ability to communicate with Him by reading the Bible and talking to God in prayer.

The Dig Site
The evidence is in the present—but what happened in the past? See a coal mine, fossil displays, and a dinosaur skeleton under excavation. Learn why two scientists can come to different conclusions from the same evidence.

The Starting Point
The same evidence can result in very different interpretations. This room examines our starting points to explain why the different views about origins are in conflict.

Lucy
She is the poster girl of human evolution, presented in other museums as a member of the same line from which modern humans arose. See how the Creation Museum has presented her from a biblical starting point. This high-tech exhibit uses holograms to give an inside look into Lucy’s anatomy.

Biblical Authority
Learn how the Bible has been attacked and defended throughout history. See a Gutenberg Press replica, learn about Martin Luther, and consider the far-reaching effects of the Scopes trial.

Biblical Relevance
The Bible has survived the ravages of time, just as Jesus Christ prophesied: “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away” (Mark 13:31). The discovery of the Dead Sea scrolls in 1947 and the survival of thousands of New Testament manuscripts give amazing testimony to the preservation of God’s Word.

Culture in Crisis
Watch what happens when the Bible is taken out of a culture, as has happened in once-Christian nations. Peer through the windows to see “real-life” examples of how compromising God’s Word has harmed the church and the family.

Six Days Theater
This wide-screen, spectacular video presentation summarizes the six days of creation, as recorded in Genesis. God’s perfect creation of the world is revealed in stunning color.

Wonders Room
“In the beginning God created . . .” (Genesis 1:1). This room scientifically confirms this verse in a breathtaking presentation. Fifteen videos showcase the wonders of God’s creation and demonstrate His care through the intricate details of design.

Creation
Learn how Adam named the animals. Walk through the verdant Garden of Eden and observe the creation of Eve, the tree of life, God’s first commandment, and Adam and Eve’s disobedience.

Corruption
The numerous effects of sin are clearly illustrated in this exhibit. And an animatronic Methuselah explains what happened to Adam’s descendants. Ever wondered where Cain got his wife?

Catastrophe

Noah’s Ark Construction Site – This full-scale cross-section of the Ark represents only one percent of the actual Ark. Consider the construction, tools, and skills needed to construct a vessel to survive a worldwide flood.
The Voyage of the Ark – Many ways in which Noah and his family could have solved the problems of looking after all the animal kinds in such a large vessel are portrayed throughout this exhibit.
Flood Geology Room – Numerous videos, detailed signs, a breathtaking mural, and dioramas of Mount St. Helens and Grand Canyon explain many of the evidences concerning the global flood of Noah’s day.
Natural Selection is Not Evolution – Uncover what natural selection can and cannot do. A cave aquarium features live, blind cave fish, showing how natural selection allows organisms to adapt but not evolve. You’ll also uncover the truth about antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Located in the Flood Geology room.

Confusion
The origin of people groups is explored in this section of the Creation Museum, answering questions about skin color, language, families, etc.

Coming Soon – Christ, Cross, and Consummation
A new exhibit covering Christ, Cross, and Consummation is coming soon. These final 3 C’s are the culmination of Biblical history illuminating God’s redemptive plan in history.

Palm Plaza
Lined with interesting exhibits of fossils and more, Palm Plaza is designed with an Egyptian architectural influence. You can also see the museum’s unique collection of dinosaur stamps from around the world.

August 15 – Noah’s Ark, Willamsburg, KY
A 510-foot-long, $100 million Noah’s ark attraction built by Christians who say the biblical story really happened opened in Kentucky.
“I believe this is going to be one of the greatest Christian outreaches of this era in history,” said Ken Ham, president of Answers in Genesis, the ministry that built the ark.
Ham said the massive ark, based on the tale of a man who got an end-of-the-world warning from God about a massive flood, will stand as proof that the stories of the Bible are true. The group invited media and thousands of supporters for a preview last week, the first glimpse inside the giant, mostly wood structure.
“People are going to come from all over the world,” Ham said to thousands of people in front of the ark.
Ham’s group has estimated it will draw 2 million visitors in its first year, putting it on par with some of the big-ticket attractions in nearby Cincinnati.
The group says the ark is built based on dimensions in the Bible. Inside are museum-style exhibits: displays of Noah’s family along with rows of cages containing animal replicas, including dinosaurs.
The group believes that God created everything about 6,000 years ago – man, dinosaur and everything else – so dinosaurs still would’ve been around at the time of Noah’s flood. Scientists say dinosaurs died out about 65 million years before man appeared.
Ken Ham, president and chief executive of Answers in Genesis, the Christian organization behind the project, announced the opening date at a press conference and said the park will be able to accommodate 16,000 guests per day.
“It’ll certainly be one of the biggest Christian attractions in the world,” he said from the site of the park.
The opening date for the park was based on a verse from the book of Genesis – the seventh verse of the seventh chapter details when Noah and his family entered the ark, Ham said.
Scientists have calculated the earth is over 4 billion years old, based on carbon dating of rocks and other research.
Park officials said on Thursday the Ark would be part of a $91 million project that would sit on 800 acres and later add other biblically themed attractions. They said they are still seeking to raise another $6.5 million to complete it.
